A Twin Cesarean - West Palm Beach Birth Photographer

*The Sophia Co is the brand new and improved version of Three Plus Photography. This blog post has been imported from my previous blog and may contain my old watermark on the images.

Marissa contacted me pretty far into her twin pregnancy. This was the first time ever that I got presented with the possibility of capturing a twin birth, so I squealed a bit when I received her email.

She was determined to go into labor naturally and to try for a VBAC with the twins. Her determination impressed me, and she carried the babies till 39 weeks.

She impressed me once again while laboring naturally. So peacefully and without a single trace of feeling any pain. The nurses couldn't believe her when they came in asking her pain level and she would tell them "0". All this while having to wear 2 heart monitors and having to sit or lay down in the hospital bed.

This is what I call a hard core woman!

However, things don't always go as we expect or dream. And even though both babies had been head down at her last appointment, one of the babies decided to go breech during labor.

Both babies were delivered via c-section and with very good weights. I wasn't allowed inside the OR or the recovering room, so I went back a couple of days later to capture some sweet moments between this mama and her babies, and with big sister of two!

Welcome Ezria and Blaze! Your mama was very strong and you are both so lucky to have been born into such a loving and supportive family.
