The Calming Blue - North Shore Underwater Maternity Photographer

There really is nothing like being far into the 3rd trimester and going into cool tranquil waters.

Being weightless comes as a gift when you're heavy with your child.

We met early in the morning. It had been raining, and the storm clouds were still lurking around blocking any direct sunlight. The water was still surprisingly clear, and the blue was so rich and deep, it took my breath away.

I could smell the plumerias I had collected the night before. Sweet and subtle. I had a vision in my head of plumerias being showered on a pregnant belly. I had visions of a soon-to-be father protectively watching over his wife and child, while they took a last swim in the deep blue ocean - their guardian.

These moments unfolded before my lens so naturally and with so much love... I am grateful for Lauren and Rorey, who trusted in my vision and helped me break the mold.
